Catalunya Radio recently provided an update on Barcelona's search for a new right-winger this summer.
Following his rejection of the club's offer for a new contract, Ousmane Dembele is expected to leave Camp Nou as a free agent this summer. Given his second-half performance, his departure could leave a significant void in the right-wing berth.
Barcelona has already begun their search for a dynamic forward capable of easily replacing Dembele. They are especially interested in prospects who can provide both individual talent and athletic power in the final third.
With that in mind, Raphinha is still Barcelona's primary summer goal. Due to his quickness and cleverness out wide, as well as his physical traits, the Brazilian is believed to be the ideal alternative for Dembele.
The agreement to recruit Raphinha, on the other hand, is becoming more difficult by the minute, as Leeds United continues to demand a high price.
Due to arduous discussions with the Premier League club, Barcelona has targeted Angel Di Maria as a possible replacement. The Argentine international is expected to depart PSG this summer as a free agent, making him a target for the club.
Despite the fact that Di Maria is older than both Raphinha and Dembele, he compares favourably to the two powerful strikers statistically. His knowledge could also aid the development of younger players such as Ansu Fati and Gavi.
Adnan Januzaj is another option for Barcelona at the right-wing position. With his performances, the former Manchester United prodigy has raised a few eyebrows and offers a little bit of everything.
In terms of quality, the Belgian does not compare to Raphinha or Di Maria, but he does bring La Liga experience to the table. He's not going to cost a fortune, and he's not going to mess with the club's finances.
